This is not so much a question as it is an FYI. I recently got a new laptop with Windows 8.1 and tried to install the Concept2 Utility Version 6.54. Unfortunately, the installer kept hanging, and I had to kill it.
I fixed the problem by right-clicking the executable, choosing Properties, Compatibility Tab, and checking the box that says "Run this program in compatibility mode for:". Then from the drop-down box, I chose "Windows 7." Installed just fine and works like a charm.
