I've been able to keep my old PM2 functioning by cleaning the contacts - - until now. Gotta replace it.

Maybe you're upgrading to a PM4.

There is always a few requests for a PM3 but I always tell them to buy a new one because there are two different versions of the PM3 and the post 2008 version is a much better monitor. The PM3 may look the same on the outside and has functionally similar firmware but it has had several improvements made to it and is more reliable in terms of the LCD and the main board. It now also uses far less battery power and its faster when sorting Logcard results.
