Million Meters Club

Post by rvdokkum » July 17th, 2009, 8:55 am

How many people are part of the ''Million Meters Club'' ?
Is there an online Honour Board listing all members of this club?
Thanks in progress for answering my question.

Back home in eastern California since I returned from Spain at the end of May.

Sub 8 is a thing of the past now for me and there are a few newer octogenarians who have gone sub 8, including the new record holder who was almost 13 seconds faster than my best shot.

Afew years back I suggested to C2 that they create a Lifetime Meters honor board, a listing of total meters rowed by individual. I think I got no response. As I approach 30 million meters I would be quite interested in where I stand compared to the rest of the rowing world. Perhaps this is just too large a project???

We've got one of those.

I should be in the 10MM club

but I'm not sure whether those tables are still being updated.

Thanx Dougie. I did not know that existed. Leave it to you Brits to be way out in front. I wonder though, does this only apply to the UK and, like you, I question whether it is being maintained. i.e. I am approaching 30Mm so should be in the 25 Mm listing and am not.

All that said, what I would really like to see is something akin to the rankings where one could look up lifetime meters (excuse me metres).

Thanx again for the reply
