Dumb question about challenges

Post by mjl1261 » February 25th, 2009, 5:32 pm

Sorry for this -- I'm new...

I want to do the March Madness. I'm slow but I"m a stayer! I'm curious though -- do I do my 5000m as a program workout or can I just get on and row and those meters will count?

Thanks!

You just get on and row..you can make it a 5000 meter program as a goal or just row til you reach that number.Small sets of a few meters til you reach 5000 or all at once.

Don't forget the WRC2009..join a team and have fun ..TEAM TIMBUK2 is open for new rowers. This challenge is great and fun.I had to get a plug in here

Any team you join will be worth it!!

The nice thing about the March Madness is that it is for individuals. You are not stuck with having to join a team to participate. All you have to do is set up an Online Logbook with C2, hop on an erg, and go at it.

I wanted to resurrect this post from obscurity just to let ya'll know that I am a member of Jillian Michaels website and I've been trying to promote rowing as an exercise alternative for quite awhile. We've got a 3-person team now rowing for a Million Meters! We are wimps compared to the rest of you, but we are still rowing faithfully and reporting in on our progress on a weekly basis.

When I saw the C2 ergs on the show, I was really excited. Then, I was screaming at the TV because of the horrible form that some of the contestants were doing. Now that we've had the explanation of how the producers manipulated the challenge, I am not surprised at the results.

I'm going to continue to talk about rowing on JM's board! Jillian Michaels has a radio show on Sundays (kfi640.com) and listeners can phone in and ask questions or comment on workouts, etc. Maybe we can start asking her to provide her contestants with a little more training on proper form, whether C2 gets the advertising on the TV show or not.

By the way, even though the show didn't give the credit to C2 for the ergs, all of us who own one picked up on what type of rower they were using immediately!
