Ergmate - just released!

Post by raisingmn » January 24th, 2009, 11:40 pm

Powertwenty.com

Check out this great new 3rd-party app for the PM3/PM4.

Ergmate is a Windows application that plays sound clips in response to your workout. For example, say your doing a 2000m piece: you hear an official call the start, your cox then calls the first five strokes, and then some hard driving music starts. Periodically, a voice announces your stroke rate, slide ratio, heart rate, etc. At 1000m your cox calls a power 20. At 500m to go, a new higher intensity song crossfades in. At the finish, a horn sounds. This is all configured through an intuitive setup wizard.

I've done a few pieces using the demo, and I find it adds an entirely new dimension to my workout .

Now that would be a great voice - "Slow the slide, you must."
