Finger injury from Rowing?
Finger injury from Rowing?
I've had my rower now for almost 5 months and love it, almost 600K meters! Recently I have noticed a small bump under the skin of my index finger near the joint where the finger meets the palm. Its round like a ball bearing and initially the size of a bb but now has grown to the size of pea. It doesn't hurt unless it gets bumped and it almost feels like it's attached to the bone of the finger. My fingers have felt the stress of rowing with calluses I can cut off with a knife and I'm assuming that this is the result of the rowing. Curious if anyone else has experienced this and if so, what is it and what did you do to get rid of it! Thanks...

Sounds like you could have developed a ganglion.

Rowing for Eight Million!
I google'd ganglion and that sounds like what I had....had being the key word as ironically yesterday while at work this thing popped as it disappeared! I was walking to my desk and reached down to fiddle with it as I've done for a couple months now and it was gone! No pain or anything! Hopefully it won't come back with more rowing. Thanks for the reply...
