WARNING

Post by Bob S. » February 26th, 2015, 11:58 am

Always, but always - check the date and time on a different machine when you do a serious time trial. This morning, I did a 1:58.3 500m, knocking 2.6s off my previous new LWT WR. When I tried to rank and verify the result, the verification code was rejected. I went back to the practice machines room and checked out erg #11 and, sure enough, it was set for 2016!! There is not a damn thing that can be done abou it. If it were set on an earlier date, it could just enter it that way, but you can't enter a later date. Major bummer for me.

These ergs are supposed to be brand new. I saw them being taken out of the boxes late yesterday afternoon and they were hard at work this morning opening up more in a second room.

Bob if you can send me your *LCB file I can fix the date and time for you.
Copy it back to your LogCard and you'll be able to generate a valid verification code for it.

Thanks, Ctroen. As you can see in the message I posted as another thread (egg on my face), I did another 500m in the afternoon and got 1:57.5, an 0.8s improvement, only to find that there was already a 1:45.5 reported - with a race designation ad it was done by a 94 year old - only about 4s slower than the 80-89 record by an 81 year old. There is no way that I could match that kind of pace. He also did a blistering 1k, so that one is out of reach as well. I just wonder where he has been all this time and what kind of 2k he can do.
