This is it folks... my FIRST CRASH-B
Posted: February 4th, 2015, 10:07 am
I am all trained up... and after today, as ready as I am going to be.
I pulled a 7:42:00 last night, and hope to see 7:30's this Saturday AM (I am racing in Dallas).
I have come to realize this:
"average is easy, GOOD is uncomfortable, EXCELLENT IS HARD."
I feel Saturday AM is going to be HARD... I have a old college coach friend lined up as my 'coach' and hope to do well.
I am nervous, anxious and ready.
Thanks for all your support on my journey since June 2014 to be at this place... you've made me better, made me competitive at my age/weight (46/hwt), I won't WIN, but ultimately I have come to appreciate I am racing MYSELF, not the other entries... if I beat my PR, and finish in the 7:30's i'll have done well.
Exciting times... FOR SPARTA!
