Well I will go easy on you but there is simply no way you rowed 10K in 28 minutes. Either it was not set for 10,000 meters or you misread the time. Go to the gym, try it again with the monitor set for 10K.

Well, to put it into a bit of perspective, your average time for 5 consecutive 2000m segments (5:45.2 each) was faster than what it took to win the World Championship at 2000m last week in Boston by a large margin. Heck, your average 2000m is even faster than the best time ever done by the amazing Dwayne Adams of Arizona.

Not that any of that makes it impossible that you really did it. But if I were a betting man I wouldn't put money on it.

It is impossible mate, sorry.

You probably have the PM3 Monitor set up for a Model C (Or Vice versa)

You did 5 2k's back to back faster than Sir Steve Redgrave or Mathew Pinsent could row 1.
If you don't know who those people are then google them.

If your reading was 28 minutes then you have a problem with your monitor.

Also, a sub 40 minute 10k is extremelly easy to achieve and this also seems highly unlikely that your gym is offering this competition as it would go bankrupt very quickly.
I would guess that you are a liar?

What is the name and contact number of your gym?
I would like to go and win the 6 month membership.

I will phone them tomorrow for details.

If 50 people win this competition, which is highly possible, then your club (assuming an average membership yield of £30), would be giving away the equivalent of £9k in revenue on a gym challenge.

Either your manager is stupid or you are?

Sorry for being so blunt, but stupidity annoys me.

Congratulations for your new world record for 10000 meters!

I'm looking forward to hear of your training, and perhaps you could post a video from the next time you row.

I will contact them and see what they say.
By you posting that link actually sways me to believe you on the gym competition so my apologies for doubting that.

Your score, however, is impossible.

When I refer to Redgrave and Pinsent I mean their best scores on the concept 2 rowing machine (I assume this is what you are using)

Have a look at this ---> http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=JbuESIPFfz4
This was at The British Indoor Rowing Championships and set the British 2k record I believe.

You are going faster than this 6'5'' 4 time olympic Gold medalist is going here. Difference is, you are doing 5 times the distance he is.

As I have said - What you claim to have done is impossible and indicates a problem with your monitor.

What version of the concept 2 are you using? C? D?

thanks , i think !! well according to the other chap there the machine might be set up wrong could you explain how i could check this setting?

listen theres no need to harass me i like you people on here also believe it to be impossible that i have a time near world record time. i was just posting here asking the question of "am i missing something?" just for advice on what could be wrong with machine or have i actually somehow done this.

if i do this on tuesday i will be more than happy to put a video up no problem.

No more talk required really mate.

See you back here next week with a video and screen shot.

By the way, the 'resistance' level makes no difference whatsoever to your 'score'. Some champions row on level 10 and some row on level 1. Makes no difference.
