American Records for 100K?

For months, I've been training to break the 40-49 Heavyweight World Record for 100K (6:39:15.9). A few days ago, I decided that today (Sunday 12.21) would be the day. Last night, I jumped on the Ultra-Distance World Records page to check the record one last time. I was shocked to learn that only one week earlier, Thorsten Jonischkeit of Germany had beaten me to the punch with an amazing 6:11:54.1 (the best time across all age groups). To say I was disheartened would be a gross understatement. Ultimately, I reasoned that, yes, I'd been aiming to break the World Record, but I was really focusing on getting under that goal time. So, this morning (and much of the afternoon) I pursued my goal and ended up with 6:36:40.4. I had achieved my goal by 2:35. For what it's worth, it's probably an American Record (they only track World Records for the 100K on the site at this point). That's assuming that the record had been 6:39:15.9 until 8 days ago, and the new world record holder is from Germany. Is there any list out there for American records or bests? Any thought of Concept 2 tracking American Records for the ultra distances like they do for the shorter ranking distances? Or any support for Concept 2 keeping rankings for the ultra distances? Thanks for any feedback you can share.
