Second World Shortcourse Indoor Rowing Champs - Downunder!

Post by HardGainer » February 22nd, 2007, 9:58 pm

The 2007 World Shortcourse Indoor Rowing Championships are to be held in Takapuna, New Zealand on 8-9 September.

A friendly invitation is extended to indoor rowers of all ages throughout the world to come and join us. Competition features short-distance races of 1000m, 500m, 300m and 100m. The team events are 500m pairs and 4x500m relays.

New Zealand has a temperate climate and September is the beginning of our spring season. Find out for yourself why New Zealand is known as The Adventure Capital of the World! Take the opportunity not only to enter this event but to take part in some of the many outdoor activities our country has to offer, or perhaps just take in some of our world-famous scenery.

Go to the New Zealand Indoor Rowing Association's web site at http://nzira.org for details, including a downloadable entry form. For further information contact the NZIRA President, Bob Bridge, whose contact details are on the web site.

I recommend! Joined myself the first Championships last October in Auckland. Great fun. Good atmosphere, enthusiastic both young and old people. Well organized games. My flight took 21 hours in one direction. It was worthwhile. Thanks!
