2007 CRASH-B Competition
I'll be heading to the 2007 Crash-Bs in Boston in the coming weeks. This is my first time and I am very nervous to be competing. My 2K time is 7:43.1 and that's a PR. Does anyone have any suggestions for pre-race things to do, or what to do while racing there? Any suggestions will be helpful.

BC,
I just competed in my first erg competition two weeks ago. I was pretty nervous before hand because I din't want to fly and die. The best advice I can give is stick with a pace you know you can complete the 2K and do not increase no matter how good you feel until you get to 1000M. 800M at the earliest. Also, I found that once I sat on the erg, the nervousness went away. During the race, I was not even concious of anyone around me. It was as if I was rowing at home.
Stick to your plan and I'm sure you will have a great experience like I did.
