Online SC World Cup 2007 (FUN CUP)

Post by marilyn » January 13th, 2007, 5:15 am

Hi

My name is Marilyn Duarte, I am webmaster for Supercanoa
I am organizing again the online SC World Cup. One country can have
more than 1 participants

The rules are like by the FIFA we are in groups of 4 rowers and we have to beat at least 2 of them to go to the 8. finals. In the 8. finals you become a new opponent from another group. To beat him you need to be better than yourself (Your results will be compared with the best 1. eliminatory results)

Depending of the event: 8. finals, 4. finals, you can beat your opponent
beeing fast in your age class or being faster than yourself.

I have now this registered countries: USA, Mexico, Peru, Germany,
Italy, Australia, UK, Sweeden, Switzerland, Norway, Venezuela, the Neatherlands

I am missing Canada, South Africa, Spain? From USA I have only one participant, from Germany 4

All levels are welcome, we are a community where stronger rowers help less stronger. In the races will be applied a handicap, so women can beat men.

We row on the supercanoa plattform, you need to be registered (free)
and you download the mini connector (free). The rest is done through the
web browser

I am happy having new rowers in this events (of course supercanoa rowers are more than welcome too)

Prizes? Your picture on our honour board and the sastifaction that you did a good job

Regards

Marilyn

Post by marilyn » January 14th, 2007, 5:43 pm

Hi

Now USA has 3 participants with you, Chad and Canada one last update: last update
We need now only 6 rowers to start or we have 2 in waitlist
if we start with 4 groups. What about France or The Neatherlands?

Paces from participants are very different, from 2:40 to 1:48 (?)

Some rowers will be testing the plattform this week
So if you are interested, mail me

Hello,

I registered for this race series last week, but I do not appear to be showing up on the participant list. I downloaded the program last night and also did an 800 meter test piece.

I signed up for the 1600 GMT race. I hope to be there on time. If not, I saw there are some other races scheduled about 2 hours later.

Thomas
