I did not make the lottery for a slot in the men’s 1x for this year’s HOCR.
As an alternative, I’m hoping there’s a team boat out there looking for a sub to fill an empty seat.
I’m 59, live in Los Angeles and row with Los Angeles Rowing Club out of Marina del Rey.
I’ve had plenty of racing experience this past year: 2013 HOCR, 2013 Head of the Marina, 2013 Christmas Regatta, 2014 Beach Sprints, 2014 , 2014 Desert Sprints, 2014 Goldrush Regatta, and 2014 USRowing SW Regionals. All races were in 1X, 2X, or 4X but I’ve got plenty of practice in sweep boats as well (port).
I've got decent erg times for my age at head distances: 1 hour (15,287m on 8/15/14); 10K (38:51.5 on 8/8/14); 5K (18:43.9 on 6/13/14) verified as C2Log on the Concept2 forum.
I’m a BU & Georgetown grad, retired army officer (reserves), currently employed as database developer; married with 3 grown kids; great team player who loves to race hard but is not obsessive/compulsive about winning at all costs.
I can be in Boston the week-end prior to the race.
Please contact me if you need an oarsman for this year’s race.

You may have better luck (if you haven't already) posting an ad in the row2k classifieds. It's free and those are read by many, many more people than these forums. (Not trying to knock the c2 forums, btw, just an objective statement)
PBs: 2k 6:09.0 (2020), 6k 19:38.9 (2020), 10k 33:55.5 (2019), 60' 17,014m (2018), HM 1:13:27.5 (2019)
Old PBs: LP 1:09.9 (~2010), 100m 16.1 (~2010), 500m 1:26.7 (~2010), 1k 3:07.0 (~2010)

Thanks Armando. I posted on row2k classifieds as well.
BTW I left my height and weight out of my original post. They're 6'1" and 180 lbs (81 kg).
