Hi! I’m Steven Dowd. New to this forum and erg’ing per se.
I found the rower after life-changing injury.
This short vid explains how I’m using the erg to bring a global-community together through a fully-inclusive event.

Everyone. Everywhere. Pulling Together.
Fundraising for Wings for Life (Spinal Cord Injury Research)
I’m looking for the support of the rowing community to take part on 6th Feb (FREE to sign up in Nov) and amplify the message in their networks encouraging others.
Growth of the sport’s participants, growth of diversity and SCI Research are the winners of it goes well.
If you can help where you are please let me know.

Hi Steven, first of all amazing, and inspiring progress from a life changing accident.EnduRowChallenge wrote: ↑November 12th, 2020, 5:32 pmI’m looking for the support of the rowing community to take part on 6th Feb (FREE to sign up in Nov) and amplify the message in their networks encouraging others.

What do you need from us? Do we need to row for the full four hours? I'm always interested in a challenge, even more so when it's a collective effort

I echo what Stu has said - an inspirational story. As a rugby fan, I've followed the astonishing recoveries by Ed Jackson and Andy Blyth (both of whose stories are I suppose similar to yours), as well as the legendary Matt Hampson, who - despite being ventilator-dependent for the rest of his life - has managed to do so much.

I clicked on the Endurow link and got a grey "register now" page. Going back and clicking on the link again (no idea why that was necessary - needs a cookie or something..?), I got the proper page with more information.

Re: EnduRow Challenge 6th Feb
1:30am-5:30am on a Sunday morning Adelaide time.
Not the ideal rowing time, but that said, probably a lot better than rowing for 4 hours in the daytime in the Australian summer.

There's a bit of an issue in the registration process, as PayPal is the only way to pay, but it's a minimum of 30p and you're only asking for 25p. I also don't think there's any way of increasing it.

Re: EnduRow Challenge 6th Feb
Thanks for the compliments and apologies for the silence. Getting this ramped up has filled every day for months.
Covid has made life difficult enough so to make it easy to sign up and focus your efforts on JustGiving fundraising I’ve made the event free to enter.
Row the 4-hours solo or share the time as a Crew.
Sign-up link and other resources are available via this URL:
www.linktr.ee/EnduRow
...and help me recruit. If you row it’s awesome and J’ll see you there but if you and 2 or 3 of yours buddies row we’ll hit our numbers quicker and spinal cord injury will benefit.
In case you missed it here’s some column inches on the event (or just Google ‘EnduRow Dowd’)...
