Did a new 60'TT today and managed to get over 12k (barely). It was done at UT1 for 54' (20spm), AT for 4' (24spm), a minute or so at TR (30spm), and then all out for the for the remaining time, hitting well over 40 spm. Average spm for the last 2' was 36. My one earlier 60' TT was done as a UT2 piece (15spm) with 4' of UT1 and 2' of AT at the end. Needless to say, today's time was much better, although far, far slower than in previous years. I had used my HM pace for my previous nonathlon entries for the shorter pieces. Fortunately today's 60' pace was faster than that, so I used that for entries for the shorter pieces and picked up about 150 nonathlon points. I did have a 10k TT time that I was fairly satisfied with, but it was at a 0.7 sec slower pace. I also had a relatively fast 40' in my logbook that I figured as using for the 30' and shorter, but it turned out to be the same pace as the new 60', so it had no advantage. I did do several 30' pieces earlier this season, but they were UT1 at best with no pickup at the end.
