Is it worth entering into the CRASH B'S Erg Championships?
I love to race OTW, but I'm not sure I'd do very well for my age compared to some of the kids there haha!
Cheers!

Here are the 2013 results for junior heavyweight men:

CRASH-Bs is a good way to officialize an erg test. You might also meet college recruiters there. Otherwise it's a fun erging "festival". I say do it!

If you don't have to travel overnight to do it, you should totally do it.
The event is well organized and fun. And it provides powerful motivation to train for the next two months.
Unless you are one of the best, and I'm not, the competition is mainly your prior PB.
Also, you get to wear the cool Crash-B tee shirt OTW next spring to show how hard core you are.

I would agree with the above: if you don't have to travel overnight, or buy a plane ticket, it's most definitely worth it.
If you have money to spare then it may even be worth it if you need a plane ticket.
It's a great experience, whether or not you are the fastest person there. It's akin to the Head of the Charles - an event you have to do at some point in your life (if you are a rower).
