Mud Season Madness
Mud Season Madness
I didn't see a thread for this, so I figured I'd start one. Blizzard is supposed to start here in NY tonight, and I had set a goal of doing a 10K every day, not just 25, so I'm waiting up until midnight to sneak over to the gym to get a 10K in between 12am and 1am, so I can get home before it really starts coming down.

That's dedication! I'm on track for 10kx31. Did 31 straight last yr. @ 12-15k per day. Not so easy this year.
March Mudness indeed! 28-30" forecast for southeastern PA.

Congrats, keep it up! My hardest day is going to be Sunday -- I decided to do the madness thing without remembering that I had signed up to run a half marathon. So hopefully I don't wreck my knees too much running the half marathon to be able to do a (slow) 10K later that day.jackarabit wrote:That's dedication! I'm on track for 10kx31. 10k at home this morning a bit much. 2nd full day of power outage; house temp had dropped to 52°F. Jumped right in the shower after, TG for gas water heater.

I hope you've dug out okay. I did the (running) half marathon on Sunday in 2:17, and then did the 10K on the erg, but it wasn't pretty: I finished in about 47 minutes, and very sore. Feeling somewhat better now.jackarabit wrote:10k at home this morning a bit much. 2nd full day of power outage; house temp had dropped to 52°F. Re: Mud Season Madness
Snow accumulation was only 8" but followed by icy rain on top. Power outages and closed roads in northern DE. Delmarva Power had 35000 residential customers without power, utility crews in from as far away as Illinois. My power out 38 hrs. I have a fireplace with a heat exchanger/blower and plenty of seasoned firewood. No power to the blower on the heat exchanger so had to keep the fireplace doors open. Radiant heat on one side at a time is better than no heat. Saw a few neighbors leave for warmer premises. Still on sched to 31x10k. The 25x10k list is melting away with the snow; 700+ left today. I might break down and take a rest day on the 26th. I've done a 13, 15, and 17k day in the overlap with the WEC and still feeling pretty good.

Yes, day 27 in the book. 10k @ 115W and 1.5k @105W. OK, found you very quickly by country and alphabetical sort. Way to hang in there. Piece of cake now for 31 strait.
