I omitted the 444 leg and the time I submitted is therefore false.

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
I am happy to announce the August CTC as chosen by the Once We Were Tribesports team. It is based on a popular challenge from the old Tribesports site:
6 x 1min with 1min rest between intervals
Start with a standing start for the first rep, subsequent reps as you like. Record the distance for the 6min of work, not including rests.
Should be quite popular we reckon.

Alan, thanks for letting me know nice and early.
Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
Just returned from the European Peace Walk so, at last, able to update the CTC tables.
Congratulations to MAD for extending their form in May into June and winning their own challenge. Well done Sub7 for launching 16 boats.
Normally PaddyPower would have the challenge for October but, as no PP boats were launched during June, the nomination goes to Forum Flyers.
Regards,
Joe

Hello Joe
Can you tell me how we get on the selection list for choosing a challenge? We have been doing them for a few months now and might help to motivate my "crew" a bit more if they can get to choose one (that isn't sprinty )
thanks
Peter (#TeamTokyRow)

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
You need to float a boat for three months in a row.
A boat needs three heavies, one lighty and one lady.

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
Well done MAD for your third victory this season in the July CTC. Sub7 produced the largest armada with18 boats launched.
PaddyPower participated this month and are awarded the November challenge.
Free Spirits have the September nomination and Forum Flyers the October.
Peter, as #Tokyrow has met the requirements mentioned by Dougie in the previous post, you have the December challenge. You are expected to produce boats in the months leading up to then and to conform to the usual guidelines for challenges. These are:
1) Not to exceed 10km or 50 mins total rowing including rest periods in interval sessions.
2) Not to be so complicated that rowers with PM1 or PM2 monitors find it too difficult to programme.
3) To be submitted in good time; preferably by the 25th of the previous month.
Regards,
Joe

Those of us who have been fortunate enough to spend time in the company of George King are immensely saddened by his recent death. I would like to suggest that we mark the passing of this great man by allowing his CTC outfit, Team Oarsome, to nominate a September challenge. Other challenges would then move back one month.

Joe

As I said on Facebook, this is a very classy suggestion Joe. Really impressed and appreciate the thought as I know that quite a few TO members knew George and and are very saddened by his passing.

Folks on FaceBorg will need to discuss that admirable idea and let everyone on here know the results.

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
Dougie, we have decided to ask Wullie what George's favourite session was to see if we can possibly do that for the CTC.
It looks like people are in agreement with the suggestion

Can someone help me reset my password. I never saved it anywhere and have gone through a machine wipe. Thanks.
