6k Handicap on 8/26
Ended up rowing a standard 6k with Graham Fisher. Graham will be rowing the HC race tomorrow for time.

My time was 21:51.3 - 7.3 seconds faster than my last 6k race and a new PB (2 seconds faster than previous PB set in 2005).

Yell if I got the math wrong. We will add a 6k and 30 minutes to the mix this week.

I'm personally worried about another melt down on the 6k (my 5k this week was very ugly) but my 30 minutes SB is soft so it will be fun.

Sorry I missed the 1700 GMT Sunday 6k race. I messed up with the time conversion I was good to go but exactly 1 hour late! Oh well. I did 22:18.2. I think I did a bit of a fly and die (emphasis on the die part) b/c its hard to pace yourself properly without anyone else to race against.

Friends - So sorry for being a lazy scribe. The back-to-school hoopla has knocked me off kilter a bit....Finally a quiet Sunday morning, so I can do the math for the Aug Series....I already miss summer!

A big congrats to Will Haskell who takes the honors. An average of 920 points per event is impressive. Well done, Will!

Ernie, Thanks for coordinating the August series and pulling together the results. I missed the first two races because I was on vacation, but I really enjoyed the competition. The races motivated me to set some new SBs and PBs.

You're welcome. Thanks for joining and making it fun. Vacation sure didn't hold you back any. I felt like I was chasing you all August.

We are now doing handicapped 5k races every Sunday at 1900 GMT in case you want some more. We are on week 3 so the handicaps are quickly getting accurate.
