Agreed, great work by all the forumites I ran into at the B's. Congrats especially Mike VB and Bob S who both took back hammers - the latter of which set one of two WRs that day.

Nav - I'll see you OTW!

What a great event! My first CRASH-B's ever! I first started on the erg about a year ago, and started with serious training about 4 months ago. I am thrilled with my PB of 7:25.8
40 year old male, HWT.
Had a great time, even though my legs and lungs don't agree, and I anticipate doing it again next year.
BTW, does anyone know if we can get our split times for the four 500m intervals of the race?

Regards,

Thanks to danburpee on the UK forum for these links.

Split Data: http://utilities.concept2.com/replays/r ... 20Data.txt

Stroke Data: http://utilities.concept2.com/replays/r ... 20Data.txt

You need your "row letter" and "race number" to replace the "A" and "13" above.

My first CRASH-B as well and in same category as you. Not sure which bank of ergs you were in, but here is the youtube of the side I was on shot by my coxswain. Having him standing there with that camera pointed at me helped squeeze the out a PB of 6:52.8 -- a 1/2 second improvement over my previous PB I set at the Erg Rodeo in Austin last week.

I think this time was far more painful post race than Austin

Does anyone know if 2010 CRASH-B gold medalist in Women's 50-54 Jutta Abromeit is same person as "Jutta Behrendt" that won 1988 Olympic Gold Medal and several World's Championships in single sculls? Thanks in advance. ~sleddog

I was at a different bank, erg #77. Looking at the video I recognize you from the warm ups. I remember the bandana :)
Great idea to have a cox film video.
I see you are in Beaumont. I'm in the farthest NorthEast corner of Texas, in Texarkana, but hopefully we can meet someday in a climate warmer than Boston in February :)

Thank you. Since my post on Friday, I've seen several posted photos of the Veteran Women's races. Now that I've seen the ones of me, I guess I should be more careful what I wish for. :)
Yes, Tom, lots of John...Thanks. B)
