I have been reading this forum for a number of years and finally have something to say. This year was my first as a CRASHB competitor. I have to say thanks to everyone involved for an extraordinary experience. The CRASH B committee , Concept2, all the volunteers and all the competitors. Everyone involved was so helpful and so friendly. Special thanks to concept2 for their program of sponsoring some of us with airfare and entry fee without which many of us could not come. A definite highlight was meeting and visiting with Rick Bayko after many years of reading his commentaries on this fine event. Rick was a fine marathon runner in his day and has continued as a fine indoor rower. This is such a great way of maintaining lifetime fitness and having fun in the process. Thank you all so much. Great Time at CRASH-B
I had talked my father and younger brother into entering this year, so it was a family affair. My dad got second in the 90+, and my brother and I rowed a well in the 60-64 heavyweights. I am hoping to drag more family members in next year. I loved the long write up. Maybe I'll finally medal next year. Maybe I'll try BIRC.
