com on, Competetive sports is about being the best. So the open heavyweights is what's the most important. The further away the less it means. There is nothing wrong with that.danwho wrote:Well, you were going along fine until you got to

Them's fighting words - I'm sure unintended.
No intention to offend those in the over 50s Lwt categories. However I think that you would agree, the majority of people checking indoor race results, tend to look at those categories last. Hence it's just unfortunate for those people competing in them.danwho wrote:Well, you were going along fine until you got to

Everybody of us should be happy to have the chance to compete. It´s a nice hobby, nothing else. You can´t qualify for the olympic rowing team and it is no personal war. We integrate adapted rowers (EIRC) and we can see real champions in this races.
And here is a discussion about drug testing at BIRC.
A hammer, a medal: Yes, do what you are able to do, but don´t be a poser, with pumped muscles and small horizon.
So I would propose that we create an anti doping declaration, to have fair and proper championships.

People like me are in a no-win situation anyway, when I row a witnessed sub 6.00 2000m people will no doubt think that I have taken some sort of performance enhancing drug, it goes with the territory.mpukita wrote:Who started this thread, and why? Just curious.
