So your problem is more how to find a team to join.
Thank you, yes. That's exactly right.

What advice might anyone have for someone looking to find a team to join?

There are a variety of entry methods set by the teams, but many of the teams are happy to take all comers including my own linked below.
This I will look into. Thank you for your offer, Ian. Perhaps other teams might find this and also respond. On that I'll take a wait-awhile-and-see approach.

Lastly, file this under "wouldn't it be great if": I think it'd be a good thing for each team on the CTC site to have a page which held this information for visitors like me.

Thank you again for your help,
T

That is not possible. All you've got is
http://c2ctc.com/entries.php
http://c2ctc.com/team_leaderboard.php
http://c2ctc.com/person.php
&
http://c2ctc.com/faq.php
and that's all you will ever get.

Is there an unwritten "unless you want to write it" in that statement?

Perhaps the Concept Team Challenge site owner will respond

the problem unfortunately is that in fact the owner of the code (a guy named Daren) who wrote it many years ago has no interest in working on it or interacting with anyone about it. This makes hopes for changes/improvements futile - a source of frustration particularly for those who administer the site and those who would like to see some improvements.

Ugh! Holy hell I know that feeling all too well. There are 120 pages of discussion here. A lot to look through. Maybe someone who has been here from early on will know...

Did he ever seek to sell the site?

Have you reached out to him? I have had success previously just by sending an email via the proxy address at WhoIs. Yes, I checked but have not sent anything. So if you’re interested, here’s the link:

Andy of Te Waka has sent his team's challenge for July:

"Workout will be.
9 rounds of 333m
60 seconds rest after each round.
No restrictions"

Regards,
Joe

How does one go about joining a team?
Every sign-up must be a member of a team. You can't record your results on the http://c2ctc.com site without being a member of a team (there's the Independent team for the the truely teamless).

So your problem is more how to find a team to join.
Forum Flyers duz the CTC. Our team chatter is spottable on the Teams page. We do it all. Physical decline reset, flexing, mutual admiration, and—wait for it—normalization of athletic self-abuse always. You’re game if we are.🤓
