err... I seemed to have had a rash moment this evening and signed up for the 2k just before the deadline for entries closed  B)

So now have 12 days to do some sharpening... trouble is the pencil is blunt and has previously been dropped so breaks all the time

If was a sort of 'taking part' conversation with my son but he declined, so it's just me.
Excellent, good luck Dino πŸ‘Š

I found my first comp both painful but enjoyable.

This is very exciting. I think you'll beat me to 7:15 then. Good luck.

Going to need a lot of it!
Was sent the list of entries today. There are 78 entrants in the 50-54 M HWT Masters category - browsing through recent PBs an awful lot are way below 7.
Max - I'll be happy to get under 7:20 again. I'll be propping up the category as it is, so don't want to push for something and risk a complete melt down! Haven't exactly left myself much time to switch from 60 min comfy rows to 2k all out! 7:15 would be nice though... :D

A long way away from any of these PBs now!!

I would definitely suggest racing against yourself only...if you start watching what position you are you might blow as you say. 7:15 is a great target πŸ‘

If anyone is looking for race prep tips there is a video on YouTube by Matthew Tarrant which is quite good.

I'm overthinking it already πŸ™„...raced several times during my sleep last night πŸ™„πŸ˜...none if them were pretty πŸ˜‚

Double Ouch! :o hopefully will be OK as there isn't much grip force required on the erg.
I must work backwards and sort out a schedule too! although after watching Matt Tarrants recommendations in the video I wont be getting up 4 hours before i.e. at 0530!

Good luck to all racing over the weekend.
