But the whole list is based on the ranked pieces Jd, how can Ralph take on results he doesn,t know? If you want results to be known you have to rank them, if you don,t fine ofcourse, but that means you choose to not have the possibility to get in this list.
If you make an exemption all now ranked pieces should be included, how could that work??

That does raise an interesting point -- What if one or several national records were set during a season that were faster than the #1time in the rankings? Should I also award them first place? Problem is, I don't think I can access all the national records set in any given season. (For that matter a world's best time for a season might not be a national record.)

I include new WRs each season because they are verified to C2's satisfaction. But if people think I should limit it to those who play the ranking game, as it were, I can revise the results.

Keeping up with WRs has just gotten a little more complicated and ambiguous. Concept2 now is in the process of adding additional records based on type of rower: standard, slides, and dynamic. Before, type of rower was not indicated, though it could usually be found. So, can it now still be said that there is ONE WR for a distance? Is it best time, regardless of rower type? Is only std rower? For now, only std rower is used for 2K records, although I wonder how long that will last.
