If yes can we have Delivery Room Skierg created.
I've created the "The Delivery on Skis Room"
This isn’t allowed. Can you please delete it.

It’s predominantly a rowing competition. The agreement when we created the SkiErg team was that any SkiErg scores could only be entered for the SkiErg team. So no creation of additional teams for SkiErg scores. If you permit this then it’ll just open the floodgates for Ski Squad, GarageAthlete and numerous other teams wanting to ski in a rowing competition, hence having just the one permitted team.

It’s fine to enter a ski score but for the SkiErg team only. You can also log a rowing score for your regular rowing team.

So the Delivery Room Skiers will need to re-register in the Skierg Team.

Hey all.

I did the May ctc last night May 31 at 1954 US central time, which is 0254 GMT June first. 1124 meters for a 1:28.9 ave. My score was on the board yesterday, moving team GARAGEATHLETE into 4th. Today, my score has been removed. Is there a reason why?
The rules state that the row should be completed before 1200gmt on the first of the new month, which I was ahead of by about 9 hours.

Thanks,

Chris Glasgow
Your score was recorded after 12:00 noon UK time, so got deleted.
I've added it back in.

Make sure you clear the cache in your browser before visiting the CTC site on change-over day.

Thanks so much for the timely reply!

MAD started the new season as they had finished the old; that is, in first place.

Congratulations! The Diamonds have gained in numbers rapidly in recent months and tied with Sub7 for the largest participation with eight boats launched.

Future challenges:
July - Sub7
August - Isenhurst Rowers
September - The Delivery Room
October - The Chain Pullers

I've no fixed opinion about the expansion to include more SkiErg teams. The current situation is as Casey described and is a compromise solution agreed by vote. A single opinion poll on fb is not sufficient to bring about a change 'though it may indicate a shift in attitude. Any poll would have to allow fb refuseniks, C2 Forum members and other interested parties to participate. From memory, on the last occasion, a Google Poll was set up.

The points are shown for each monthly challenge on the CTC site:

http://c2ctc.com/index.php?c_id=200

I include only the #1 boat from each team; other boats may be active in reducing the points scored by rival squads.

Joe

I’ve heard of egg roll and 3 legged sack race conducted on the same turf. I think CTC could do something similar with virtboat, virtski and virtbike. We could call it the Nerdic Combined.

July CTC from Sub 7 IRC:

A long rest for the wicked.

5k/2k or 2k/5k (you choose the order)

7 minutes rest between reps.

One of those reps must be done at 20spm. 30 second time penalty for every 1spm over the 20, ie 21spm = 30 secs, 22spm = 1 minute, etc etc.

Enjoy! 👹

The MAD team maintained their winning start to the season in finishing at the head of the June leaderboard. Congratulations!
Sub7, with ten crews, had the largest fleet.
Future challengers:
August - Isenhurst Rowers
September - The Delivery Room
October - The Chain Pullers.
