My "law"?

Hardly.

Just a statistical generalization.

Anyone can resist, or reverse, the decline.

But you have to take some unusual measures to do so.

You need to work on your weaknesses.

Mike VB lowered his time 12 seconds, year over year.

He pulled 6:57 last year; 6:45, this year.

That's great training.

Congratulations to him--again.

Mike is also a true OTW lightweight, rather than a light heavyweight, who starves himself down to weight, like Roy and I.

I am in the throes of another week of starvation, preparing for St. Catharines.

Yuk!

It will be worth it if I can row a sub-6:30 as a lightweight, though, given that I am now 57.

Excellent!
Could you say
"Hello to all Team Oarsome competitors - and congratulations to medalists Roy Brook, Joan Van Blom & Jon Bone
from Statto Matto and all Team Oarsome in the UK"

Cheers, David :D

If you do have any problems with the audio, pressing pause and then play, or probably refreshing the page should sort it out. One thing which has happened in that the Bullpen race that has just happened had no commentary, so there was seven minutes of background noise only...

Best,

David
Hi David,
The broadcast was exciting and much appreciated. Now I have a suggestion: It would be nice if the radio announcer would keep in mind that we don't have the video. If he or she would say who won and at least who were the top finishers for each category when the event has finished, it would make the broadcast even better. Otherwise we have to wait till the results are posted to know what actually happened, even though we just listened to it.

Hey, the 50s and 55s hwts sure put on a quality show today.

Vegar, Glover, Schuster, and Cooper.

Now there's some beef!

They all made NavHaz look like he should visit the gym occasionally and put on some muscle.

Bob Spousta is one thing--205 lbs.

Vegar, Glover, Schuster, and Cooper are something else entirely.

Andy Ripley all over again.

Ripleying muscles, muscles Ripleying.

Time to flee back to the lightweights.

Where's that scale?

Where's that scale?

I need to get a grip.

I have been seeing things.

Monsters.

MONSTERS!

Watch out.

There are

MONSTERS!!

out there, pulliing those ergs.

Where did you see any videos of the races?

Are the results posted anywhere? -- besides the blue screens.

Don't be scared, you have been doing a very good job hiding from them and everyone else. Since you never make the big races you never have to see the big boys ... or the big LWT boys for that matter.

What was your 2K today? Do you have a picture of the piece? Perhaps, because you are training, an 8x500m would be a more senisble workout ... do you have a picture of one of those to post?

This gives all the details:

It includes the race boat screens, videos, and results.

It was posted in the second message of this thread.
