So San Diego is not cancelled.
Thanks for the update.

The web site is showing the race to be back on the schedule.

Joan,

Since I showed up and they didn't, do I owe the club an apology for scaring them off?

Always great to see you in Long Beach.
We owe you a thank you for making the LONG drive! ...and for offering your hard-earned, well-deserved qualifying flight to the next in line. Quite honorable, Bob. :)
Will miss you in Boston. (Yes, I know...you probably won't miss it! )

I will certainly miss being there, but I can well do without the driving and flying.

Bob, as the one who probably got your free ticket, I just wanted to thank you very much. It was an honor to get to see you race - I'm sorry that I did not get to personally meet you in Long Beach. You are very much an inspiration to everyone. I will try my best to do you (and your ticket) proud on my first try at CRASH-bs! Thanks again-

Cynthia -

Thanks! I've cut a little more time off my 2K since LB (7:11.7 at the AZ Indoor, a small local event last weekend), so I'm feeling pretty hopeful about Boston. It's hard to believe that just over a year ago, my pb was an 8:18! It's amazing how the right training can help (and losing 30 lbs)!

I don't see your name on CRASH-bs. Are you not going? Judging by your 2k time listed, that's good for me if you're not there! :D

What has happened to Tracey Axten this year?

An odd thing happened in the last couple of days. One of the positives that I considered in making my decision about the Boston trip was that my daughter, who lives in the west end of the state of New York would be able to join me again as she did for the last couple of years. I figured that she would be disappointed when I told her that I turned it down this year, so I stalled around and had not told her yet. Now I don't have to. She called my wife a couple of days ago to tell us that we could expect a visit from her soon, since she had just learned that she needs to make a trip to California for a meeting. It is scheduled for the same week that I would have been in Boston. Sometimes things just have a way of working out for the best.

Best of luck at the CRASH-Bs.

Bob S.
