Just do it again. Recording a correct result will override your wonky one.David Burgess wrote: ↑July 11th, 2022, 9:21 pmI made a mistake on the July challenge (did 190m intervals instead of 199). Could you please delete my score.

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
Hi all
The Forum Flyers have chosen the Crazy Eights - Triple Crown as the August challenge. Row 3 intervals of 888 metres each with 80 seconds of rest between the intervals. Record the total time for the 2664 metres (excluding the rest time). First interval should be off a standing start, but second and third intervals can be standing or rolling starts.
Cheers
Dave

It's been very many months since the last time the MAD team finished other than at the head of the leaderboard. Congratulations to SPU: Te Waka for winning the July challenge.
The Diamonds launched 44 boats, a record number, I believe, for the CTC. Very well done.
Future Challengers:
September: RowAlong
October: The Diamonds
November: Fitness Matters
Regards,
Joe

And, as a result of voting, have slides been banned?
chop stuff and carry stuff
Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
Yes, the vote was against the use of slides.
My personal view, in the interests of inclusivity, is that there should be exemptions for medical or other physical problems. Nobody who is going to feature in the top twenty, let's say, individuals on the leaderboard or occupy a top boat should use slides. I would hate to think that any regular CTC competitors in more lowly positions would feel excluded by this new rule.
Regards,
Joe

John Steventon has posted the September challenge on behalf of RowAlong.
The Zombie Carrot Spicy Eight"
Row 8 x 2 minute intervals, with 2 minutes rest between each.
The first must be from a stopped flywheel, intervals 2-8 can be rolling starts if desired. No restriction to stroke rate.
Enter the total distance covered in the eight intervals. Rest metres should not be included.
If you'd like to RowAlong to this workout, here's the video: https://youtu.be/KO2kkD0vsmk

Your first post has been approved so you should be able to PM Dougie now. He's on holiday for another week and a bit, so he might be slower than usual to respond.bavarian_rower wrote: ↑August 29th, 2022, 1:23 pmHey Dougie,

Answering for a friend "Congratulations, words of wisdom".joe80 wrote: ↑August 28th, 2022, 6:55 amYes, the vote was against the use of slides.

So we just need to officially put this in the rules. Where should the line be drawn ? Top 20 or top 50 for individuals and top 5 / 10 for boats ? If in any case an outstanding rower on slides/dynamic falls into these criteria, it is still possible to enter a nonsense score that brings him/her down in the results list, and this rower can still post his/her official score on the c2ctc fb page or wherever. Would be interesting anyway.
Kind regards
Claudius B.

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
I see that the Sept. workout is 8 x 2’ with 2’ rest, but the rest duration is not indicated on the main page. Might save some confusion if that is updated.
