Rowlympic "RowAlong" videos

Post by Recess » July 23rd, 2021, 11:22 am

Hi everyone. I don't tend to post my RowAlong stuff on here - mostly for fear of ridicule. But I thought I'd post this one.

Row a 1000m Time Trial along with me in support of the Concept2 Rowlympics Challenge. https://youtu.be/y9dopkWha8I

But because it's hard to do a RowAlong properly to distance, I've kept my row going for 5 minutes, in the hopes that most people will have finished by then.

If you have finished, just do some light rowing while you wait for me to finish.

The session is:
00:00 Intro
01:45 Warmup
13:41 Main Session
19:55 10 minute 'cooldown' - 8 mins at 18/20spm then 2 mins of drills

Keep an eye out for the other distances and times for the Rowlypmics on the channel too. And why not have a look around the rest of the channel for the various workouts and plans that are there - all for free.

❗ Pacing for the 1000m is just to start fast, and try not to drop off. Keep the stroke rate high, and aim for around 2K-5 pace. ❗
I'll keep you company for the row with training tips, technique tips, and my usual general waffle.

Here is the equivalent of the 2000m RowAlong (I row for 10 minutes, which hopefully gives enough time for your 2000m)
