Good luck to all forum members competing. I wish I was now but I had already signed up for a different race before I heard about this.
Looking forward to seeing the results.

Hi guys, my first online race. Lightweight question’s. Can we weigh in anytime tomorrow after 7am, even though not racing until the afternoon. Usually it’s 2 hours before, but it doesn’t mention that.
Any tips for taking the photo of you on the scales? Do they have to see the whole of you and the weight on the scales, plus phone with date and time. An example of how someone has taken a photo would be awesome.

The rule at a venue race where you can mingle with real people is not more than two hours and not less than one hour before race start time.

Most mobile phones have the ability to overlay a timestamp on the photo. Else you'd get that from the EXIF data in the JPG.

Thanks Citroen, the information just says 2 hrs before the start of racing at 7am. Which makes a big difference to waiting until 3pm, which is 2hrs before my race.

I think they should be using the regular rules otherwise weigh in at 7am, enjoy your feast at lunchtime and enjoy your race at 3pm.

The handbook states that :

Lightweight competitors will be required to submit evidence of their weight from 2 hours before the
start of the racing day (i.e. from 07:00 on 21/11/20) until 60 minutes before the scheduled start
time of their race. Any weigh-in evidence submitted after this time cut-off will not be accepted.
Competitors shall submit a photograph of themselves on the scales in racing clothing, with their
weight visible alongside evidence of the current date (for example, a phone/tablet/laptop screen
with the current date & time or that day’s newspaper).
Weigh-in evidence should be submitted at www.scottishrowingindoors.com/lightweight

Me too. Today I am the lightest that I can ever remember being as an adult at 74.5kg. It wasn't the easiest photo to take - getting me, the scales, and a device with the date readable. I did a video too.

You can practice racing starts with this sequence of buttons
More Options
Racing
Create Race
Pick a distance (or create one)
Start Race (which is the same point as "pick up the handle")

And you get the full race experience.
Thanks for the test tips

Anyone know if you can use Ergdata while racing?
I doubt you can use ErgData whilst racing. I presume the computer takes over. You would still be able to submit a verified time as the PM5 will now show you the verification code which you can manually add to the logbook.

Good luck everyone who is racing today - been watching a bit on YouTube... looks like its a bit behind schedule unless its just the broadcast that is behind.

Re ErgData - there is a warning on the C2 page:
Warning: Do not use ErgData at any indoor rowing race, as it will disconnect your indoor rower from the race system.

Dont know if this also applies to the HomeRace system but I wouldnt risk it if I were you. The HomeRace system will show you the graph of your row on the results page and you can still enter in logbook using verification code as DNA_Rower says.

The youtube channel is 2-3 minutes behind 'live'. Which is running a bit behind schedule

Waiting for the results to be made 'official', but I think I just pulled 3:32.3 for the 1k - that's 6 seconds off my old PB !

Definitely looks behind schedule. JM18 was due off at 10:52 but only just started at 11:14.
