Registration and seeding (1000m piece) just extended to May 26, plus Masters get a handicap. Anyone going for this? Money for the winners!

Re: Global virtual Rowing Challenge
OK, no takers, I guess. Right now there are only 32 Masters men entered, don't recognize any of the names.
After looking at the rankings for 1000m, I decided to save my $50 registration. Will be interesting to follow the competition on row2k.

Re: Global virtual Rowing Challenge
I was tempted Mark but competing with the 40+ guys even with a head start would make it pretty difficult for the old guys although it would be interesting to see how it placed us. The entry fee is a bit "unfamiliar" for people too I guess.

Re: Global virtual Rowing Challenge
I am doing it. Signed up last minute and did my 1k entry row right after a strength session just to get in on time. I'm pretty new to rowing but enjoy a good competition and figure I may as well get my feet wet in competing, that way when I'm more highly competitive I have a better idea of how these races are run and maybe I'll learn some lessons along the way. I'm sure I'll get knocked out of the men's open division in the round of 32. It's fun, though, to feel like somewhat of an athlete by competing in a new sport for me. I think they did a really good job with the tournament format. Nice little stimulus check 2.0 prize for the winners too.
