Even more curiously I was just about to post that same question.

If DLC Gidea Park don't shout out by Sunday it will be a straight simple unrestricted 2K.
On the 13th of June Joe Keating posted this on the CTC fb page;

''DLC Gidea Park have let me know that they will no longer be launching boats in the CTC and will not be making their challenge in July. I hope ESPRIT can take their place in nominating a challenge for next month. Please tell me if that causes problems. GARAGEATHLETE now have the August nomination''.
In that case; if Esprit don't tell me by 30th June, then their choice will be a straight, simple, unrestricted 2K.
An unrestricted 2k would be pretty sweet. I'd like to know where I'm at, but I definitely don't want to do one on my own.

I'll blame Zuckerberg for everything that's wrong (and that's not just with the CTC communications).

. . . and I thought faceplant and the dodgy old forum were connected by something called the internet. Silly me.

Still no words from Esprit. So still on for the default 2K.

Not sure what the problem is here. June still has five days remaining.

ESPRIT have produced the following challenge:

‘Lactic Leveller’
500m
R2:30
400m
R2:00
300m
R1:30
200m
R1:00
100m
Standing start for first. As you like for the rest.

Regards,
Joe

Most of the problem is that I'm in Germany this week.

I know, we're on day 178 of 2019 and I've had 50+ days out of the country so far. There's another trip to Perth, WA planned and tickets bought from 12th Dec to 6th Jan, including a BBQ on the beach. [My daughter lives in Eglinton just north of Perth.]

Next business trip is to Yorkshire on a rare domestic assignment.

I'm curious how people will average for this compared to a 1k time trial.

I reckon around of just under 1k pace for the 500, hang on for the 400 (it's tough) then faster for the last three. Will be able to do a couple of times if you want to as it is relatively short.

Entered one of our rowers under the wrong name - the one for Katie Metalli Fitness Matters team needs to be deleted as she is rowing for #TeamTokyRow until July next year when we will all revert back - thanks

When I say "deleted" I just mean the June CTC entry. Otherwise all of her previous scores when she was competing for FM will also be deleted. thanks
