Notable Full Marathon result

Post by tomhz » April 3rd, 2006, 6:32 am

I'd like to highlight these results from the Dutch open indoor Marathon championship. It was held last saturday. The first four did their full marathon faster than 2:40 and finished within 34 seconds!

Dutch Marathon

Congratulations to Jaap and Hennie for their fine performances in the Marathon. Pity about Pieter, was he ill?

I have frequently rowed against these blokes online with RowPro. They are all pretty gutsy rowers. Anyone looking for a good workout at 8 GMT Saturdays is welcome to join us. I believe they are starting up their regular 3 X 2000m intervals with 10 minute rest workouts on RowPro soon. Pure unpredictable fun and pain combined into the one workout in a group situation. Try it.
PBs: 2K 6:13.4, 5K 16:32, 6K 19:55, 10K 33:49, 30min 8849m, 60min 17,309m
Caution: Static C2 ergs can ruin your technique and timing for rowing in a boat.
The best thing I ever did to improve my rowing was to sell my C2 and get a Rowperfect.
