It's now official

Post by Bob S. » April 28th, 2015, 5:11 pm

I just checked the record list and found that my 30' HWT had been recorded. It is now official that there are no more gaps in the 500m to 60' set of events. The HM and FM are still wide open. At this point, I don't know if or when I will try to beat Mr. Johnson's 5k and 6k HWT distances. My hand still hurts from the fall a week ago just before I did the 30' piece, so I have not been on the erg for 8 days.

In less than eight hours you'll need to start all over. You've got to set all the 90+ scores for the 2015/16 Nonathlon.

For the nonathlon, all I have to do is complete the FM tomorrow (fat chance!!!) and the whole nonathlon would be done for the season.

Actually, I am side-lined for a few weeks as a result of that little mishap a few minutes before my 30' TT last week. It probably didn't help that I went ahead and did that TT in spite of the fall. When I finally went to the ER about 5 hours later, I confessed to the ER doc what I had done and he looked at me like I was something that crawled out from under a flat rock.

Time will tell whether or not I can get back into the same condition as before that incident. Probably not the same peak, but I hope that it is not too much below that.

Absolutely blown away at your ability and times. My vote for the most impressive and inspirational rower, period. Thank you for showing us what is possible.
