elite times

Post by The_Giant0 » August 30th, 2012, 10:38 am

Hi,

What sort of times are required for getting on lwt U23 or senior national team. Both for the camps and the trials. I heard there is very little point in going to oklahoma unless you are sub 6:20.
6' 1" 182 lb. 2k: 6.08, 30': 8902

I don't think there is a hard cap for times.

Sr. LW probably at or below 6:15.
Sr. HW right around or below 6:00.
U23 LW probably more toward the 6:20 range.

You can look up the athletes that made boats this past year and look up their scores.

Remember at the end of the day if you can't row well the erg score doesn't matter.
PBs: 2k 6:09.0 (2020), 6k 19:38.9 (2020), 10k 33:55.5 (2019), 60' 17,014m (2018), HM 1:13:27.5 (2019)

Old PBs: LP 1:09.9 (~2010), 100m 16.1 (~2010), 500m 1:26.7 (~2010), 1k 3:07.0 (~2010)

Gives you an idea. There will of course be stories of some athletes being faster or slower than these times. However these are reasonable minimums to be shooting for.
