Hey everyone, I am in the very basic organizational stages of planning a 2 day, 150+ km trip down a river as a possible fundraising event my club. One of the reservations that my club has is concerns with liability due to the length and numerous concerns that can arise from a journey like this. If anyone knows of a club/college/program that has done something like that, preferably also as a fundraising event, any guidance I could get would be appreciated.
Thanks for your help.
Planning a Rowing trip
Re: Planning a Rowing trip
Northwestern State University in Louisiana used to put on a marathon row down Cane River in the late fall every year.
I think it got cancelled las tyear but you might try contacting the crew coach there. stellyj@nsula.edu or nsurowing team @ hotmail.com.
Only organized long distance OTW event I'm aware of outside of ocean rowing.
