C2Log vs. IND_V
I see nothing about C2Log in discussions by Concept2 concering verification of times. Yet one cannot edit a C2Log submission and add the 16 digit code. What gives? Is C2Log the equivalent of IND_V?

Re: C2Log vs. IND_V
C2_log means it's been auto-uploaded using the C2 Utility.
That result is transported with a crypto signature to prevent folks playing the system. It's, probably, a more secure and more accurate system than the IND_V (which relies on the verification code from the PM3/PM4).
All my metres are logged that way, everything is C2_Log including any ranked workouts. The only piece that's missing is the auto ranking (but I can easily get season's best workouts from my personal MySQL database with all of my rowing data in it).

Re: C2Log vs. IND_V
I would like to make recording my meters as easy as possible. I have thus far been using the 16 digit code to enter my meters as an "IND V" but would prefer to just plug my usb cord from my laptop to my monitor and bypass the use of 16 digit codes. Does the C2 method allow this? If not - is there a method to just directly dump says my data from monitor to concept website ,or laptop and then website?

Install this: http://www.concept2.com/us/service/software/c2u/ on your laptop. Hook up the USB cable to your monitor, put your logcard in and you're good to go.
Re: C2Log vs. IND_V
I've just always entered my workouts into my C2 logbook manually, but Carl's discussion on adding pacing to the distance challenges got me to looking at IND_V. I tried editing a non-ranking piece per the instructions, but it says "since this isn't a ranking piece, there is no need for a verification code" and there are no blanks to fill in, although a code is displayed for any workout on my PM3. Am I missing something or can only ranking pieces be done as IND_V?

That's a new one on me. I used to use verification codes, but only for pieces that I wanted to rank. I had no idea that there was one for every piece done. When I read the message above, I just had to go check it out. I looked at the logcard data for my most recent piece, this morning's 10' pre-physical therapy warm up, and, sure enough it had the typical verification code. Learn something new every day it seems.Cyclist2 wrote:I've just always entered my workouts into my C2 logbook manually, but Carl's discussion on adding pacing to the distance challenges got me to looking at IND_V. I find that the most convenient way to transfer data to the online logbook is with a card reader on my desktop.

You're right. The log only accepts a code for ranking pieces.Cyclist2 wrote:Am I missing something or can only ranking pieces be done as IND_V?
