concern over "big thighs"

Post by CaptainChunk » December 14th, 2009, 4:03 am

My wife and I are thinking about getting a rowing machine or an elliptical machine. Still trying to decide which one to get, but she is concerned the rowing machine creating "big thighs" on her. How likely is this to happen? Thanks for the help.

Rowing doesn't seem to have done this lady any harm; as far as I know she's at Olympic level, so presumably she uses her legs quite hard.

If she gets good enough to get big thighs I'd guess she won't care about them any more, as she'll be too concerned with qualifying for the national team. Used normally by an average person it should certainly tighten up her thighs (there, I just convinced you right?) but she's not going to turn into a thunder-thighs.

thanks for the response. yeah, that is pretty much what I figured. We are going to get a rower. Looking forward to starting a more healthy and active lifestyle.
