My favorite rowing partner

Post by grams » May 14th, 2009, 1:00 pm

Hi folks,

I got turned on to the erg by my grandson when I was 61 yo. He coxed for me at Ergmania one year. I just came back from Boston, where I watched him graduate from Northeastern U. He was on their crew and I met his rowing buddies at the party afterwards.

What great fun to talk rowing with those tall strong 20ish guys! And encourage them to keep on rowing. I challenged them to do a marathon when they turn 62, like I did. Then they would be 3 times as old as they are now! The expression on their faces was priceless.

So, keep on erging ladies. The interpersonal rewards are great, in addition to the health benefits.

A very handsome young man. I'm sure he's thinking what a cool granny and great role model he has.
