Serious question - Labor and Erg Tests

My wife and I were having an interesting discussion recently (she's pregnant with our first child) about the pain of pregnancy. It's pretty clear that labor is about the most painful experience that one could imagine. But we also got to thinking: how does it compare with, say, a 2K or a 6K erg test at max? This is our first, so we just have no idea.

Maybe some ladies can comment, but I think labor must be more difficult, its a lot longer and less predictable. Erging is only a few minutes of pain. The second half of the row and a few minutes after.

I often equate rowing to chlldbirth, having had 3 (natural) but when you are having a baby you have no choice, your body is going to do the work needed to have that baby. there is no choice to HD. So in some ways, rowing is harder because you have to have the mental toughness to keep on.
