Ernestine Bayer story, an inspiration for all ages

Post by grams » September 30th, 2006, 12:08 pm

I remember reading about her when I started eging. She epitomizes women who row (or erg).

Here is a link to her story. You don't have to register to read it.

Grams, thanks for the post. I hadn't heard that she had passed away. It actually brought some tears to my eye because she has been such an influential and inspiring part of women's rowing. I remember hearing about her efforts and how she was still racing and rowing until just recently and thinking how blessed she was and how I hoped to be as capable when I was her age.

May we all be as healthy and happy throughout our own lives!

Aiko
