I've been following this thread for a while and thinking about it. I guess I'd have to say that my shoulders and arms did bulk up somewhat from erging, and some clothes are tight in that area when I move the right way. However, they only increased to a point. After a year of steady erging, I'd have to say that the bulking stabilized pretty early on.
IMO the bonuses outweigh the negatives. I don't mind seeing some "guns" in the bathroom mirror. I'm glad that the floppy wings that hang below most women's upper arms are gone. And I can handle a few push-ups.
