Happy to be back

Post by whistlejacket » September 17th, 2007, 12:47 am

I rowed a lot in 2003, but what with one thing and another, kind of lost my way, sold my Model D, and generally went into hibernation. I think it was a bit like eating too much chocolate - I got heartily sick of it!!

Then, this last few months I started to sell more Concept 2s in our store and got really enthusiastic about the Concept 2 web site, and in selling it to customers I sold it to myself as well. So I bought a model E at the beginning of September (which I am totally in love with) and have started to row again.

Personally, I am almost 61 years old, overweight, married, no kids, and a high maintenance cat - did I mention I am overweight!! I live in a suburb of Adelaide in South Australia, and we regularly visit New Mexico which is almost a second home to us.

I lost 20 pounds last time I rowed regularly, and see no reason why I can't do so again. It's amazing to me how quickly you can improve your times and speeds.

So glad to be back, and thoroughly enjoying it.
