Hello from France

Post by Bordeaux33 » July 19th, 2020, 1:00 pm

Hello everybody, Bonjour,
Anybody else in France? I live in the South, near Bordeaux. I have a Concept 2 at home and a treadmill also and do cardio workouts using both. I am retired, in my 60s and it is important for me to stay fit. Ex-marathon runner and horse endurance competitor, my horse is now retired like me at the age of 26!
I am considering training for rowing competitions, not sure where to start...... probably by rowing more :D I found out that I am in the lightweight category and that there are many age groups until late in life, which is great!
Anyway, I am happy to be here and look forward to hearing from you.

Hello and welcome! Like you I have a Concept 2D, treadmill and do strength training with hand weights. Not for competitions, but for fitness and endurance as I paddle a sea kayak when the water isn’t frozen.

This forum is a great resource and I’m sure will help you develop a training plan.

Best wishes!

Hello

I'm also in SW France, near Montauban. We have a lot in common actually because I have run marathons and longer, and I have 2 retired horses aged 24 and 25! I'm just getting started with indoor rowing but enjoying it very much so far.
