Finished my last day with my best time, 5000m in 21:46. My starting 5000m time in mid February was 25:17.

I am super proud of myself, as I have only been rowing for a few months (got my rower in January). I have really been focusing on technique and I think it has helped me improve my time immensely.

I wanted to thank everyone for the great content they continue to post on this forum, because us newbies definitely appreciate your knowledge and experience!

Hope everyone enjoyed the challenge!!

Amanda

Awesome time, and congratulations on finishing the challenge! Scheduling time to get 25 sessions in a month can be difficult without even considering the physical aspect.

I finished my 10k challenge today, I should try to PB my 10k soon as I can feel great improvements from just doing the challenge.

Went to bed on a Thursday night, woke up Friday with the flu and that was all she wrote for me for 2 weeks. I didn't row very much for 2 weeks of March. When I finally started rowing again it was slow work. Really low stroke rate because I was so tired. I finally just feel about 80-85% so we'll see how April goes.

Glad to hear those who met their challenges and goals! Good job, ladies!

Great time on your 5000 Amanda! I too am a newbie rower (got mine in October), but I have had lots of company (people like to visit the florida keys in the winter..who would have thought :D ) and travel, so I haven't been very consistent with my rowing since late January.

Occowboy, so sorry to hear about your battle with the flu. Hope you are on the mend and back to feeling 100% soon!

Sharky, hope your leg is healing well also.

Hopefully I will get back to fitting in a rowing schedule into my triathlon training schedule soon! Been doing a few thousand meters here and there, but need to get back to longer sessions.
