Here I go....again.

Post by dixiedd » August 4th, 2009, 7:48 pm

I'm going to attempt this rowing thing again. I've got an indoor rower sitting in the family room. The only one who's used it is my 1 year old grandson moving the seat back and forth. When my niece and nephew are here they play the fish game. Other than that it's become a huge piece of art. Not what it was intended for.

One of the reasons I didn't row was do to improper form. Thanks Catherine. She showed me what I was doing wrong. I made a serious effort Sunday night to remember what she had told me. I was able to row 3-5 sessions. It might not sound like much but to me it was.

I've got a gym membership which I don't use. Unless you want to count the 8 water classes a month, if I go. That makes for an expensive class if that's all I use it for. So I'm going to ditch the membership. Apply the $60 a month towards something else and use the indoor rower instead.

Good job sorting out the proper form. That is the key to feeling good during a session.

I need music for motivation in order to do my 1/2 hour. Some folks like to watch tv or dvds to pass the time.

I look forward to my time on the erg as all my own to enjoy my large music libray. I collected some of the tunes while travelling, so I can (virtually) visit Oz or Crete or Turkey or England.

You deserve to spend a little time selfishly entertaining yourself (while erging of course)

And, you will look 10 years younger after 3 months. Honestly.
