Watching TV while using Bikerg

Hi All,
I am looking to add an Exercise bike to my collection. I intend to use it mostly for long, leisurely rides of up to 2 hours while watching TV.

As I was researching the Bikerg, I found some people advise against the Bikerg if you want to use it while watching TV. They said that unlike a conventional spin bike, the wheel of a Bikerg stops moving as soon as you stop pedalling and that this means that you have to focus on moving the pedal all the time.

I wish to get your perspective on this. What has your experience been with using a Bikerg while watching TV. How much of a problem is this? Does the above issue arise at even the low resistance settings? Is a conventional spin bike really better for watching TV while using it and in what ways?

I think you are mistaken. While the pedals act like a bike with a free wheel, if you do stop pedaling the "wheel" will keep spinning for awhile. You will eventually get a message asking if you want to end your workout or continue. Most users of the BikeErg watch TV or another type of video distraction.

I watch TV on iPad on BE. Got the specific bracket from C2 in Germany and find it takes the attention away from the monitor. I pedal “through the line” an never free-wheel so not really an issue

The BikeErg feels like an ordinary bike on level ground (with different damper settings modeling different gears). The flywheel has lots of inertia so if you stop pedaling it'll coast down slowly just like a regular bike. No problem watching TV. When I do I prever bluetooth noise-canceling headphones, but you can also just turn up the TV speaker a bit to hear it over the fan noise.
