Hello,

I own and luv both the Rower and SkiErg. They both have the same noise.

But, the BikeErg seems more noisy. Is this normal? Is it because it recognizes the Damper setting, therefore it's noisier?

Thanks for helping a newbie. Concept2 for life. I luv their products. I wish the seat could go lower so my kids could use.

I’m not sure it’s any noisier than the rower/skier, only that the noise is a continuous whirring, rather than the on/off of a rower/skier.

No idea what you mean by ‘is it because it recognizes the damper setting’?

It seems like Cardio needs to read https://www.concept2.com/bikeerg/traini ... -intensity to understand the damper.

bottom line is that c2 products are pretty noisy. of noise is a big negative I'd never recommend the products.

however i think the erg has a louder and more distracting noise than the bike. not measured the dbs obvs!

I measured the C2 bike noise with a couple of apps on my seldom used cell phone at 80+ decibels. The cell phone mic probably doesn't pick up very well so it's likely higher then that. In any case, the bike is quite loud and can be damaging to people's hearing. C2 didn't have a solution except to return the bike. I've been trying different types of barriers to try and reduce the noise level to tolerable levels but haven't been successful so far.
